CopyShot Support

CopyShot turns anything on your screen into text: drag a box, and the text is on your clipboard. Questions and problems: email support@muhyuddin.com. Include your macOS version and what you expected to happen — most issues get a reply with a fix or a workaround.

Common questions

The capture hotkey does nothing.

CopyShot needs the Screen Recording permission. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and enable CopyShot, or press the capture hotkey (⌘⇧2) and follow the built-in steps.

Text is not pasted automatically after Copy & Return.

Auto-Paste is optional and needs the Accessibility permission. Turn it on in CopyShot Settings → Privacy → Auto-Paste. Without it, the text is still on your clipboard — press ⌘V.

Where is my capture history?

Press ⌘⇧1. CopyShot keeps your last 10 captures on your Mac; retention is configurable in Settings → Privacy.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs on your Mac. See the privacy policy.
